Robert graduated with a
BSc (Hons) in Physics from
Heriot-Watt
University
in 2000, an MSc in Photonics and Optoelectronic Devices from the
University
of
St Andrews
in 2001 and a Ph.D from
Heriot-Watt
University
in 2006. Robert's Ph.D research focussed on the fabrication and modelling of
erbium doped waveguide amplifiers for Local Area Network (LAN) and
Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) applications. Currently, his research is
focused on the fabrication of optical waveguides and microfluidics using
femtosecond lasers.
