Dr Anusha Keloth

Anusha Keloth completed her MSc in Photonics from the Centre of Excellence in Lasers and Optoelectronic Sciences of Cochin University of Science and Technology, India in 2012 and joined Heriot Watt University for her PhD in 2013. She works under the supervision of Dr.Lynn Patterson and Prof.Ajoy Kar. Her research project is mainly focused on the development of an automated system for isolating and growing single microbes using optical micromanipulation technology. Anusha’s research is part of the EU FP7 MACUMBA project: Marine Microorganisms: Cultivation Methods for Improving their Biotechnological Applications.
