Nitin Jha

Nitin Jha completed his 5 Year Integrated M.Sc. in Photonics from International School of Photonics, Cochin University of Science and Technology, India in the 2013 and has joined the Nonlinear Optics Group at Heriot-Watt University as a PhD student in January 2014. His PhD project is towards the development of femtosecond inscribed compact high repetition rate waveguide laser. His work also aims to develop optical fibre laser sources and amplifiers that exploit both novel multicore fibre structures and custom fabricated three dimensional optical interconnects. His work on multicore fibres is in collaboration with Fraunhofer Centre for Applied Photonics, Glasgow and CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramics Research Institute, India.
